Academic Teaching
At Newnham College, Cambridge, I act as a supervisor for the medieval portion of the undergraduate English Tripos (Part IB Paper 4), dissertation supervisor, and postgraduate mentor. I also occasionally lecture in the Cambridge English Faculty.
I am currently not taking on any more dissertation students, though students are welcome to contact me with subject-based questions.
Lastly, I have professional experience working across both outreach and admissions, and have delivered a number of outreach lectures and study skills workshops for the University. Please get in touch if you would like more details.
Yoga Teaching
I am a certified yoga teacher and run multiple classes per week in the university. I offer both dynamic, movement-based sessions and sessions dedicated to rest. My teaching aims to be inclusive and accessible, and I have undertaken CPD trainings in yoga, trauma, and the nervous system, and leading accessible yoga nidras.
I consider yoga teaching part of my work as a scholar-practitioner of contemplative studies, bringing everything I advocate in my academic work onto the mat—namely, a commitment to compassion, social justice, and attending to well-being as a practice.
This person-centred approach has been influenced greatly by my wonderful trainers Harriet McAtee and Theo Wildcroft. Contact me for more details.
